7 = Dominant 7th

Roman Numerals

I = chord 1

ii  = chord two - lower case = minor

iii - 3

IV - 4

V - 5

vi - 6

vii - 7

Also use Roman Numerals for Capo positions to differentiate from Arabic numbers for fingering indications
